New pretreatment process for electroplated diamond tools

According to diamond tool manufacturers, diamond is the most hard and sharp abrasive grain found. Using electroplating method to "electroplating" the diamond abrasive on the metal substrate, instead of the traditional die-casting sintering method, not only the investment is low, the cost is low, but also the oxidation of the diamond at high temperature is avoided, and the hardness and sharpness of the diamond are guaranteed.

  In the entire diamond electroplating process, more than 90% of the poor bonding of the electroplated layer is caused by poor pre-plating treatment. Therefore, to improve the quality of electroplating, the most important thing is to do a good job of pre-plating.

  The content of pre-plating treatment generally includes: degreasing, rust prevention, corrosion, pickling, activation cleaning, adding auxiliary electrodes and mounting, etc.

In order to improve the quality of the coating, after analyzing and comparing the situation of the electroplating industry at home and abroad, combining with the actual situation, a new process of pre-plating treatment is formulated as follows: deburring cleaning coating insulating rubber scrubbing chemical degreasing heat, cold water washing acid washing cold water washing electricity Chemical degreasing flushing anode treatment flushing into the tank.

   1. Deburring Use sandpaper and hand files to remove burrs on the workpiece to prevent the surface of the workpiece from showing a bad dielectric state.

  2. Cleaning Use alcohol to scrub the workpiece once to remove the grease on the surface of the workpiece.

  3. Coating insulating glue will apply a layer of fast adhesive on the non-plated parts to insulate the non-plated parts after scrubbing the workpiece.

   4. Scrub In order to prevent the part to be plated from being coated with insulating glue, sand the part again with a file or sandpaper, and then rinse.

   5. The diamond tool manufacturer introduces the chemical degreasing agent formula.

   Sodium hydroxide has a strong saponification effect and reacts with animal and vegetable oils to produce soluble flying soap and glycerin. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a kind of surface activator. Under the cooperative response of its hydrophobic group and hydrophilic group of sulfate radical, it reduces the surface tension between liquid and work. As a kind of lye additive, it speeds up oil removal. Sodium carbonate and sodium silicate are two kinds of buffering agents that have a buffering effect on the acid, so that the pH value of the melt is basically maintained. Place the workpiece in the above solution and clean it for about 30 minutes at 40°C to 60°C.

   6. Hot and cold water rinse, first rinse with hot water, and rinse with cold book to avoid the degreasing liquid entering the acid solution.

   7. Pickling and pickling liquid formula, its purpose is to remove the oxide scale on the surface of the substrate.

   8. After cold water rinse and pickling, the work piece is clamped out, rinsed with cold water, and then mounted in the electrochemical degreasing tank.

   9. Electrochemical degreasing electrochemical degreasing agent formula

   Hang the work equipment in this solution, connect it to the same point source, firstly treat the cathode for 1 minute, and then anodize for 3 minutes. The current density used is 10A/dm2, and the electrodes are stainless steel plates. The reaction of electrochemical degreasing is as follows:

   positive degreasing: 4OH--2e=O2+H2O

   Cathode oil removal: 2H++2e=H2

  Using the combined degreasing method of first yin and then weariness, it has the advantages of fast degreasing and no hydrogen embrittlement.

  10. Flushing The workpiece after electrochemical degreasing will be flushed and finely washed with a book, ready to be processed.

  11. Anodizing

   The anodizing solution formula is shown in Table 4. The substrate is mounted and the parts to be plated are inserted into the solution. Lead plate is used for negative electrode and substrate is used for positive electrode. The current density is 25A/dm2, and the power-on time is 3 minutes. Anode treatment avoids hydrogen embrittlement, and is especially suitable for the last process before entering the tank.

   12. Diamond tool manufacturers introduced the flushing into the tank. After quickly flushing the anodized substrate, put it into the electroplating tank and prepare for electroplating.
